How to Self-Study Manga Online
If you have the luxury of studying in front of a PC, then I highly recommend downloading KanjiTomo for your manga-breakdown adventures.
Unlike browser plugins such as Rikaisama and Rikaikun, KanjiTomo is an OCR (optical character recognition) program that runs on your desktop.
Put simply, that means: KanjiTomo can help you read Japanese (1) in images [manga!] and (2) in PC files/programs [Word documents, PDFs, etc.].
Like this:
My mouse is scrolling over the word 大学 (daigaku; university), so it shows up in KanjiTomo.
Needless to say, it's a very useful program if you're studying with manga on your PC.

This is some pretty intimidating language, but I suppose that's to be expected when characters are performing surgery!

Agh!
Like last time, I'll include the English translation I found online, along with word-by-word breakdowns.
However, since there is quite a lot going on here, I'll save my grammatical notes and explorations for tomorrow.
I highly-highly-highly recommend comparing the word-by-word breakdowns to the English translation, as it can help to give you a sense of how Japanese sentences are formed.
You don't need to memorize the formations--just try to think about them a bit. Especially because tomorrow's lesson will make a lot more sense if you do that now.
